REVIEW

Narration

Together Forever To Never is a story of love, loss and everything in between. The story is narrated in a third-person point of view focusing on the main character Samar. The book is divided in six sections. Author has added beautiful poetry at a few instances which are the best parts of the book I found. The writing style is very simple, hence really easy read.

Time Period and Location

The book sets in 2015 and the following years. The story starts with the flashback of Samar who has lost his love forever. Most of the book revolves around two cities Gurgaon and Jaipur. Samar lives in Gurgaon and Sariyanka, whom he believes as his other half, lives in Jaipur. Through their professional connection, they come to know each other and share their feelings. Samar frequently travels to US, also Paris plays a tiny part in the story.

Theme

Together Forever To Never is a romance-themed book. The book depicts a ten-year-old pure relationship. When Samar is left alone, he finds love again. Author described that how Samar falls in love again and the highs and lows of this relationship. From little sensual details to the everyday communication between Samar and Sariyanka is described as the process of falling in love deeper. Author has written this book for a very meaningful insight on the meaning of success.

Plot and My Views

Talking about the plot, I think sharing anything about the plot would be a spoiler, but here we go. As I mentioned before, the story starts with the flashback of ten-year relationship of Samar and Monali. After those ten years, everything falls apart and Samar is left alone with his son, Aman. After recovering from the depression, he meets Sariyanka. They get along very easily and fall in love. Then the story unfolds with ups and downs in their relationship. Samar finds that there is something amiss and Sariyanka complains that Samar always doubts on her. This lead to the climax of the story where the very message of the whole story is hidden.

The first section of book is the best part according to me. It is as fast paced as it is beautiful. The poetry is amazing and something I would remember till a long time. Also, I share the same birthdate as Aman. Cheers! Author has elaborated five principles of human spirituality which he learned during recovery from his loss of love and for fighting against depression, which is worth reading.

Moving to the other sections, second part is a turning point when Samar finds love again and other three sections describe how they met, how they fell for each other and how they made promises. And the problems they face for being with each other.

The bad part of the book: The narration is focused on Samar and author narrates the sentimental states of his life, although it doesn’t feel complete. Why? Because, when Samar loses his love, Aman also lost his mother. Father-Son are left alone, although author has completely evaded most important part of Samar’s life – Aman, as any other characters in the book. The story gets boring and slow in fourth section, not that it was unnecessary but story didn’t hold its uniqueness that it could have held if only there was more to the story other than just a relation between just two characters. No depth to any other characters. (Also, I think author has something for all the dates he mentioned in the book.)

Despite all this, the last two sections of the book gives the real account of the emotions, relationship, love and deceit. Shows the reality of right-now situations of any other love story developing on the earth. That some of us are ready to love selflessly and some are always looking for better, adding to that, some uses the other for getting a rise in career.

Satish believes that success cannot be measured in terms of wealth or titles. The true measure of success is happiness that one is able to achieve in life.

Satish Goyal has successfully depicted what he believes and the glass full of emotions for the unrequited love Samar experienced. Sometimes, it is best to move on because once broken glass cannot be repaired to its original form same as trust. These days loyalty and selflessness is tough to find in a relationship where the individuals are looking forward to their own benefits which become analogy to an individual working in an organization only for his/her own benefits.

I would recommend this to youth and the teenagers who are looking for love story. Sometimes it is better to move on and understand that it happens exactly the way it must and will end when it had to and the way it should.

All in all, it was a light, quick read having something to tell you and I got to learn a few things from this book.

Happy reading!

A Thank You Speech for receiving Life-Time Achievement Award

I HAD A DREAM

A very good evening to everyone!

Firstly, thank you, God, for making me worthy of this award. I dedicate this to my parents and my loved ones for I cannot be grateful enough. Thank you to all jury members for giving such prestigious award, I am truly obliged for this great honor. Thanks to my diligent team for working day and night before every album-launch that I could hold this award firmly on behalf of you all team members. Thanks to you, my audience for I am who I am because of you. You all had been an inevitable part of this journey to make my dream come true.

Yes. Certainly, I had a dream! I learned playing piano from my mother at the age of six. I loved to hear her play it everyday, she would take me to another world. I always dreamt of being like her, enrapturing everyone with her talent. She left this world very soon in my late childhood. Then, I knew how to play piano but never thought of it as a talent. Years passed by and I lived with one thought that I could never do better. When I was struggling in my teenage, my father reminded me of that dream. He used to quote Benjamin Franklin ─ ‘Hide not your talents, they for use were made, what’s a sundial in the shade?’ He believed in my talent when no one could see it. He encouraged me to carry on the legacy and fulfill my dream and said ‘You will do the best you can, with the talent you have.’ From that day until now, I’ve lived my dream of playing piano everyday, be it a concert-hall or be it my home, I never missed a day.

I wish they were here today to see me accepting this award. Mum. Dad. If you are listening to me, I love you.

Having a dream is vital to be alive in the sea of humanity. The tough task is to believe in them and keeping them alive with you. I had a mad dream of composing such music that would change my world and I didn’t give up. It just takes a smile to fight against all odds. I would thank myself for not losing hope when it was most likely for me to give up. In the future, I would count on every opportunity that would make myself better at what I do.

Once again, thanks to everyone, I am so grateful to have you all. Please, forgive me if I forgot to mention you. Thank you!

Have a nice time!

REVIEW

Rise in Love is the story about two modern-day teenagers dealing with tough career choices and how they rise in love when they cross each other’s paths. The book is written in third person point of view, narrating the story of two distinct characters Adhira and Abhiraj. At the starting you imagine a young author is narrating the story but as the story develops you would refuse to consider that. That’s a good point. The writing style is really good, not missing any details that any reader would ask for. Well, at first the pace is a bit slow as you don’t see where it is going but after a few chapters it fits just perfect.

The story sets in two cities of Maharashtra, Mumbai and Nagpur. Adhira is a Mumbaiker while Abhiraj is from Nagpur. There are mentions of lavish places of Mumbai like hotels and malls and peaceful places of Nagpur also. The book depicts the lifestyle of a teenager in Mumbai and also of a teenager who is fighting for making his name in a career of his choice.

Characters are very strong and clear, all having a visible purpose. Abhiraj is trying to stay away from love and stuff, for concentrating on his writing career to prove himself to his father. Tulika is his best friend. Adhira is a gorgeous and extremely career-oriented girl, wants to take over her mother’s boutique and dealing with grievous past. Rashi is her best friend and her protector too, most fun and smart character. Adhira falls in love with Shubham who is a cool dude and son of a rich man.

The genre of this novel is romance made of pure love and emotions. When Abhiraj meets Adhira, he could not stop thinking about such a beautiful girl with sad eyes. Then they all become really good friends. Over the span of what little time they got, Adhira and Abhiraj shares their emotions and build a unique connection that they’ve never encountered and learn what is the true meaning of love.

The plot is all about how Abhiraj enters Adhira’s life and make her realize the difference between love and lust just when she needed to know. And Abhiraj who believed that love can only be a distraction, he found that it’s not true.

I loved how the author has depicted the teenage lives who are struggling along with family issues. Adhira, the strong is holding a traumatic past, whereas Abhiraj, the writer is making efforts to show his father that he can make his career as a successful writer. Also, there is humor that made me laugh. After the slow-paced part of the book when all characters get along, I could do nothing but finish reading it. It also reports some serious issues that deal with teenagers who get trapped with infatuation and ruin their lives. The author also speaks his opinions on a serious matter like rape through Abhiraj’s voice.

Apart from all the seriousness, the book is fun. It got me that Mumbai vibes and reminded me of those teenage years. The pure friendship and those moments with them. Making friends and creating the most beautiful and precious memories. Last but not least, the epilogue is the most satisfying part of the novel.

I recommend this book to everyone, teenagers, parents, readers of course.

Thank you to the author Siddharth Roy for creating Abhi, Adhira, Ra, Tulika. Also, for recommending Rise in Love to me.

SYNOPSIS

The streets remain deserted at nights in Nahant for many years now. The population is decreasing day by day. There doesn’t seem any cure to the number of suicides taking place. No one knows the actual reason behind it and most are completely unaware about it. Dankworth family is one of them.

On their second Halloween in Nahant, Gale and Delphia─ Dankworth siblings, come to know the truth about the infernos taking place, from their new friend Vinda Tremblay that all this is related with dead Villan sisters. Unfortunately on that night Gale and Delphia gets sucked into the graves in an ancient villa, being the saviors to Nahant and the Winged Sisters.

This book narrates the story of sisters & siblings, bravery & kindness, life & death and most importantly about completely ceasing black-hearted from the universe.

Maybe. She was going to die few hours from then. What Delphia and Gale were supposed to do? Probably. Rescue them. How they were supposed to rescue the sisters? Maybe they would have informed the family about forthcoming deaths? That would’ve definitely freaked them out, the whole time travel stuff. They might have not intrigued Villans or even shown themselves.

(Cont.)

Siblings stood still in front at the gate. The rust coated gate was closed with heavy locks and chains. Horrified by the scene kids sprinted towards the neighboring house. They knocked at the door and then entered the house which was surprisingly very quiet for this particular day. Tremblay family sat in silence but when little guests came for trick-or-treating they jumped to their feet and welcomed siblings with huge smile on their face. They offered everything they prepared for the Halloween party. As she heard some voices Mr. & Mrs. Tremblay’s daughter rushed to the hall.
